Wow!! I need to catch my breath, some serious changes have undertaken in this place we call home. It all started with my mother's day gift. I saw an awesome desk in a closet and all of a sudden I heard the words come out of my mouth requesting that for mother's day. I figured since I do spend most of my time at home with the boys I might as well and have a crafty nook of my own. So here it is. But wait, as I waited anxiously for my mother's day gift, my husband had another thing under his sleeve. My new fire ladder pot rack!! ;)Its meant to hold pots but doesn't he look just so cute hanging off my kitchen ceiling, just had to show you this ;). So not only do I have a pot rack but monkey bars in my kitchen, you can't beat this :a built in playground in the kitchen.
This is what it really looks like. With a couple of pots missing.
So here is my mother's day gift. Yipee, he finished it right around 3 AM Sunday morning, but what a lovely surprised I had for mother's day. A desk in the closet and a peg board, nice!! Couldn't ask for more.
So out of this desk the following has come come out.
Other sewing things that I have made recently too, but not at in my new crafty dungeon.
That's all for now!! I am exhausted. Like it?

I love spring it always brings a sense of renewing and refreshment. This year we were able to open up the season with the birth of Baby Carter. Soon after Carter was born all the spring cleaning began, and it pretty much seems like it was never going to end. First things first. We had upgraded our vehicle, we got a Honda Odyssey. Love that car, no more lifting the carseat, no more dents on my back doors, no more reasonable gas milage, but it was all worth it and very much needed. Love those power sliding doors!! So that was Carter's first car shopping experience, then Brad proceded to replace our nasty carpet with a lovely dark laminate floor. A very ardorous task. I love to see the transformation that takes place in my home after our income tax return!! Soon after the floors were put in we finally got our built-ins in the living room. There a few other unexpected projects that happened, unfortunately I don't have before pictures just after, like the new bathroom vanity and mirror in our 1/2 bath, and the four loads of pea gravel added to our playscape for the safety of our children and the beautifying of our backyard, and the vegetable garden we have going on, and the wire closets Brad put in for the boys, and the list can go on and on. My sweet husband, he insists that he will not measure up to his Dad's handiness, but I think he is pretty good. I too have been busy with my little projects. I shall show you.

Yesterday was little Bradley's last day of preschool. It was a bittersweet moment for all of us. When I first enrolled him in preschool I was so sad because although I was technically his very first teacher, it was hard for me to share my little boy and have someone else be his teacher. But in the end it all turned out great. I would have been doing him a dis-service by keeping him here at home all cooped up. Little Bradley is an incredibly social child and he needs to be around other kids, not necessarily his siblings, and at this preschool he had the opportunity to make so many friends, in fact he was awarded the "Fantastic Friend Award" at his preschool graduation ceremony. Anyhow, I just loved his teacher Ms. Laura and I thought I would do a little something for her. Here is what I made for her. I wanted to give her something personal so I made a monogram.
